Hello & welcome to the Darlington and District Riding Club website.
The club was established by Evelyn Graham, who wanted to run a club for all the adults in the area as the Pony Club catered for the children. The club was started to give good local tuition at a reasonable cost in safe surroundings to the adult community. The club joined the British Riding Clubs movement and started to enjoy the benefits of local competitions, including national qualifiers & championships.
Darlington and District Riding Club welcomes all to its events and offers a range of benefits to members, including small group training clinics, friendly competitions, team entries to competitions, as well as support and guidance from members with a broad spectrum of experience in the equine fields. Please see the diary page for the club calendar, schedules, times and results.
We have various training sessions on a weekly basis at several locations in our area, at times and days to suit our members. In addition to this throughout the summer, clinics can be arranged depending on what people would like help with or maybe to have a go at something new! Please see the Diary page for further details of forthcoming events and schedules.
But the horses don't get to have all the fun! We have plenty of Social Events to fill in any spare time you may have! From BBQ's, various talks and demonstrations, charity fundraising events, auction of promises and the fashion show to mention just a few.
So even if you don't have your own four legged friend, there's still a place for you here.
If there are any suggestions, things you would like to do, ambitions you would like to achieve, let us know and we'll see what we can do.
